The Futsal Association Uganda (FAU) and the Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) held stakeholders meeting and agreed on the various activities aimed at developing the game of Futsal.
The meeting that took place at the FUFA SIG offices was meant to draw a roadmap on how the two Associations could collaborate with effort to grow the game of futsal at grassroots level.

FAU Chairman Hamuza Jjunja, Futsal representative in charge of Women Namugenyi Dorothy, Futsal representative in charge of Youth Futsal Jude Katende were all at the meeting. The major deliberations were tailored around Youth competitions, coaching and refereeing.
The meeting resolved on initiating Youth/Academies Futsal competitions for both Boys and Girls in the U13 and U15 age groups respectively and the competitions are tentatively scheduled for April 2021.
With the aim of helping the technical growth of the players and entire outlook of the game, a Futsal Coaching Course for academy coaches will first be held in February 2021.
A refereeing Course at beginners level will also be organized in February 2021 in order to deal with scarcity of referees for the game.
Formation of a Futsal Youth Association to act as a working group to to promote the game among the youth was also involved.
