Seven Teams to Compete for Regional Glory and World Cup Qualification
Guatemala City’s Domo Polideportivo will stage the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship from April 29 to May 4, serving as the region’s qualifier for the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup in the Philippines later this year.
With two coveted World Cup spots on the line, seven nations—Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and the United States—will compete for the regional title. All CONCACAF member associations were eligible to participate, but out of 41 eligible nations, only seven entered the final tournament.
The competition begins with a group stage from April 29 to May 1, featuring one group of four teams and another of three. The top two from each group will advance to the knockout rounds, culminating in single-match semi-finals on May 3. Both finalists will secure their place at the World Cup.
The official draw is scheduled for February 19 at 11:00 AM ET and will be streamed live on Concacaf’s YouTube channel. The competition’s complete match schedule will be announced after the official draw.
The FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup will take place in the Philippines from November 21 to December 7, 2025, featuring 16 teams from across six confederations.
This landmark tournament marks not only Concacaf’s first women’s futsal championship but also a significant milestone in the growth of the sport as anticipation builds for the historic World Cup.
