Barcelona defeated the Slovenian Dobovec 8-2 in their opening Elite round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League.Despite the comfortable final result, Barça had to overcome the initial goal from Duscak, who took advantage of an imbalance in the Barça defense to overcome goalkeeper Dídac with a spur shot eight minutes into the game. In the opening stages, Dobovec crashed two shots of Barca’s crossbar, however, Ferrao changed the flow of the match with two goals in two minutes. The Russians scored the fourth goal of the game on a strike from Nevredov. But, ACCS Asnières Villeneuve didn’t give up and closed the gap (4-2) through Souheil Mouhoudine. At the end of the game, Taffy sealed the victory (5-2). ACCS Asnières Villeneuve will play their next game against Kairat Almaty this Friday before taking on the Belarusians Viten Orsha on Sunday, December 5. As a reminder, only the winner of this mini-tournament will qualify for the final phase of the competition.
