Atlético Madrid on the verge of merging with Inter Movistar

For more than a year, Spanish media has been talking about the possibility of Atletico Madrid landing in Futsal by merging with Spain’s most lauded Futsal team, Inter Movistar. Well, next season this desire could become reality.

According to Radio Marca, the talks between the two entities are at a very advanced and the merger is a step closer to occur, as Atletico seems determined to enter this sport that already had a team in Leganés for many years. Inter Movistar has a wonderful record: 5 Intercontinental Cups, 11 Leagues, a King’s Cup, 9 Spanish Cups and 11 national Supercopas, being the team that has won the most in the history of Spanish Futsal.
